When switching to solar, in most cases your Energy Retailer will automatically switch your bills to monthly & install a new digital smart meter in your properties main meter box. This service is usually done automatically at no additonal cost.

You will also notice that if you have 2 old meters, they will be replaced with just 1 meter.

In most cases additional electrical work or meter box upgrades are not required. However there are times where a meter box upgrade or upgrade to your electricals may be required to meet the current safety regulations. The most common case for a meter box or sub board upgrade, is if there is an asbestos board inside the box.

If your meter box does not meet current regulations after a solar installation is complete, then it will be disconnected by your Energy Retailer. We never want this happen. This is why we will discuss any additional work required with you prior to signing up, so it remains a completely obligation free quote. Prices do vary, but we will always provide an honest & fair quote on our workmanship.
